The Goodlettsville congregation has been involved in mission work in the state of Pariaba, Brazil since 2000 when Joseph McKinney, Jeremy Newlin and David McKinney moved to Joao Pessoa. Before that time the team worked in Recife, Brazil. Hunter and Lori Hagewood, Joseph and David's sister and brother-in-law moved to Joao Pessoa around 2004. Although Hunter is self employed, he and Lori are very involved in administration and teaching. Several congregations have been established and several evangelists preachers developed. There has also been two schools of the bible created. A plan to evangelize the states of Pariaba was developed and is on going. The Brazilian mission work in that area is overseen by the Joelton Church of Christ. Goodlettsville assist with funds in support of the team there.
