Grant County Church of Christ - This church began meeting in Dry Ridge Kentucky on April 1, 2007 after a full year of preparatory work. Jerry Carmichael and the work is sponsored by the Lehman Avenue Church of Christ in Bowling Green, Kentucky. They were able to purchase an abandon gambling hall and remodeled it. It made a beautiful building and site. The attendance is between 40 and 50. They have had a VBS, Gospel meetings, singings and campaigns. The Lehman Avenue elders as well as Jerry feel the work has been successful and plans are in the works to move into two adjoining counties to establish congregations. There are no congregations in those counties now. Goodlettsville assist with the funding for Jerry and continues to be involved in the work.
Mountain View Church of Christ - Chris Hall is the brother of Brian Hall, Goodlettsville's Youth Minister. He has been instrumental in establishing the church in Putney, Kentucky, his home town, which is a short distance from Harlan, Kentucky. Chris, his family, and two other men have built a very nice building. They have only twelve to fifteen members but are working to increase the attendance. A recent campaign was conducted by a group from Goodlettsville and Jackson Park Church of Christ. An outreach program was conducted by a clothing give away and physical work on some residents' homes. It is a difficult area but Chris and his wife are working and conducting Bible studies and working to maintain the truth being taught. Goodlettsville is assisting Chris with funding to allow him more time to do the needed church work.
