Special Thank You
I would like to take this opportunity to say “thank you” to all those who helped with this year’s Children’s Bible Hour. Thanks to those who took attendance, prepared and served snacks, and helped with crafts and games each month.
A special thanks to Eddie & Paula Phillips for creating an AMAZING Bible village set. It helped bring the stories to life.
Thanks to Betty Birdwell for being my “sounding board” and for helping out “behind the scenes.” You are a blessing!
Thanks to Clyde and Clydella the Camel (Cary & Nikki Briley) and the trusty tour guides from the Camelong Travel Agency: Palestine Pete (Stacey Thurman), Damascus Doug (Doug Glover), Damascus Dave (David Osborne), and Jericho Jane (Siobhan Hickerson).
Each month the children traveled to a different city where they met and learned about a character from the Bible. The following people took time out of their busy schedules to share stories with the children: Eve (Dana Hargis), Cain (Jeremy Wilson), Noah (Darrell Metcalfe), Abraham (Les Jackson), Jacob (Greg Hadlock), Joseph (Mark Williams), and Moses (Lee Hickerson and Jon Wilson). Thank you for sharing your talent!
Thanks to Fayla Briley, Marion Ayers, and Jeremy Wilson for helping me write scripts.
Thanks to Bob Campbell and his “understudy”, David Osborne, for taking care of all the audio/visual needs. You went the second mile!
The puppet shows are a favorite activity for the children. It takes a lot of time, hard work and people to produce a puppet show. Thanks to Charlene and Wendell Elrod and Charlie Wheeler for your willingness to head up the puppet ministry. You did an outstanding job! Mrs. Frances Bennett tried her hand at writing puppet scripts and did a super job! The following people provided voices for the puppet characters: Sybil Wilson, Jerry Ashley, Andrea Taylor, Ali Thurman, Tanner Thurman, Stacey Thurman, Blake Tucker, Neil Hargis, Shirley Pruett, Angela Jones, and Darren Stinson. And these people were the hands behind the puppets: Carla Hall, Janice Tucker, Natalie Eubank, and Michele Glover. I appreciate all of you!
Thanks to Sharon Jackson for the exceptionally CREATIVE bulletin boards! You are very talented!
The following ladies helped by teaching our precious 2's and 3's: Ginger Botts, Siobhan Hickerson, Debbie & Annalea Wilson, Gail & Roxanna Goad, Norma Slate, Mable Brown, Angela Jones and Tammy Metcalfe. I hope you were blessed by your experience!
Thanks to Ginger Botts and Gail Goad for “filling in the gaps” whenever and wherever needed. I am blessed to have you!
And finally, I would like to thank my extra special helper, Luke Glover. You are a wonderful example for the younger children!
As you can see, it takes a lot of people to make it all happen. I truly appreciate your help! But more than anything, I appreciate all your prayers and words of encouragement.
In Him,
Kelli Osborne |
